small round brushes

pastels or yellow paint

finishing details
Once the bees are printed and the paint is dry, details can be added to the abdomen and thorax using either paint or pastels:
Yellow highlights will emphasis the striped pattern of the abdomen.
A very light veil of white will help the bees wings to contrast with the honeycomb background.
Yellow or gold tickled into the fuzzy thorax will help the image to appear more solid.
