Colorful Castle
inspired by Mary Blair

If you enjoy classic Disney films such as Cinderella and Pete Pan, then I feel safe saying you have become a fan of Mary Blair without even realizing it.  Mary Blair was an American artist, animator and designer who created the concept art of many of the "worlds" that Disney film fans are familiar with.  You can explore the artwork of Mary Blair by looking up her name online.
materials:
coverstock or construction paper (in several colors)
scissors
glue stick
assorted "office" stickers
white colored pencil or any light color
ruler (optional)
Picture
Getting Started:
Cut squares from your colored paper and glue them down to build a castle in the style of Mary Blair.  I used squares that are 2" in size for the project in the videos.
Add bits and pieces:
Cut circles, small squares, stripes, triangles and other shapes from your colored paper to decorate the blocks of your castle.

You can use stickers to add interest and extra pizzazz.
Design a castle fit for a king or queen.
You can add final details with a colored pencil or gel pen to your Mary Blair inspired castle.
