My appreciation of bluegrass music and attending festivals has allowed me to meet many talented musicians and cultivate some wonderful friendship over the past 25 years. In recognition of this interest, in 2006 I began a series of pen and ink drawings featuring the hands behind the notes I enjoy so very much. Currently this drawing series is continuing as I add the gifted digits of the Steep Canyon Rangers to this pen and ink collection.
The original drawings in the series average about 9" x 11" in size, however the crisp inked image lends itself well to enlargement. Since 2008 I have been delighted to hand deliver a 20" x 30" poster to Brevard, NC; the poster is raffled off to help in the fundraising efforts that the band puts forth for the Boy's and Girl's Club of Transylvania County, North Carolina.
