I love the creamy feel of acrylic paint flowing off of my brushes and I continue to be amazed by the depth and atmosphere that can be built up through the layers of acrylic paint.   You may notice that many of the paintings shown here have a texture; I use a flexible modeling paste made for use with acrylic paints and have a wonderful working over the sculpted surface.  Because I work in a home studio and my share my home with my husband and teen daughters the easy clean up, lack of odor and quick drying time of acrylics is an added bonus.    If you participate in Facebook, I would like to invite you to look at my page "Artwork by Julie Mader", I add photos of my latest paintings on a regular basis and often will include the progression of a painting from start to finish.  I hope that you will sit back and enjoy taking a look through these paintings, the majority of my landscape paintings are based on locations within the PA Wilds region of Northern Pennsylvania where I live.
